We adopted Zoey (formerly Tigere) just two months after losing our two beloved dogs. The grief was heavy, and our home felt unbearably quiet. We weren’t sure we were ready—but we knew love was waiting.

At Saving Grace, only one pup from our list remained: Tigere. She was shy and quiet, but something about her gentle spirit drew us in. We brought her home and renamed her Zoey.

She didn’t follow the “rule of 3”—she had her own pace. At first, she was withdrawn and fearful, but with patience and love, she began to blossom. Now, nearly a year later, she’s playful, confident, and full of joy. She’s even taken her first big trip to Pittsburgh and climbed mountains!
