In our April 2022 Paw Print, we feature one of our foster families, and a recovery success.
Give Me Love… Give Me Life… Give Me Hope
What do you see when you look at Catalina, Jack, Taddeo, Iris, Randolph, Yvette, Chauncey, Nellie, and Vicky?
Are you or do you know a Vet who will donate some time?
Saving Grace is in need of Veterinarians who would volunteer to come on site for a few hours during the business week to provide Heartworm treatments and Wellness Exams. The main task of the Heartworm treatments is the injections.
Give a little Bit!
Did you know even the littlest gift amount goes a long way in helping? Especially with medical needs. Ask Catalina, Paxton, Dorian, Brinkley, Bismark and Xavier!
Get Involved: Foster Homes Needed
There are a lot of mama dogs currently in shelters, ready to give birth at any moment or who have already had their puppies. We would really love to bring these families into our program, but we need your help!

November Tips & Tricks: How to Introduce Your Dogs to your Fosters
Let them get to know each other slowly and carefully. Have them meet on neutral territory. A short walk is a great way for them to meet. Keep them about 10’ apart at first and then gradually let them get closer. Let them sniff and get to know each other. This can either be done in the backyard or on the walk. Monitor their interactions outside before introducing the new foster inside the home....

As I travel throughout rural North Carolina, visiting our wonderful shelter partners, I am constantly reminded of two things: the dedication of their staff, and there are so many dogs, regardless of their medical needs or background, that deserve a second chance.

Happy New Year!

More and more animals need help
It has been an especially difficult year for all of us. It has been a tough year for animal shelters, especially in rural NC. They are literally overrun with dogs and cats. Many end up being euthanized.

Spring at Saving Grace
Spring is one of our favorite times of the year at the farm. The cold winter months have given way to the joy of our awakening earth. The renewed hope gleaming from new mothers, puppies, the neglected and the mature all seem to have a new energy this season brings to all of us.
