What do you see when you look at Catalina, Jack, Taddeo, Iris, Randolph, Yvette, Chauncey, Nellie, and Vicky?
Are you or do you know a Vet who will donate some time?
Saving Grace is in need of Veterinarians who would volunteer to come on site for a few hours during the business week to provide Heartworm treatments and Wellness Exams. The main task of the Heartworm treatments is the injections.

Did you know even the littlest gift amount goes a long way in helping? Especially with medical needs. Ask Catalina, Paxton, Dorian, Brinkley, Bismark and Xavier!
Get Involved: Foster Homes Needed
There are a lot of mama dogs currently in shelters, ready to give birth at any moment or who have already had their puppies. We would really love to bring these families into our program, but we need your help!
News From the Funny Farm: Winter 2020
Animal Sheltering comes with so many challenges in a normal year. It is a world of limited resources and needs that feel like they will never be filled. With each dog I see leave Saving Grace (SG) with a happy family, there are so many others left behind in rural shelters that never got the chance.

November Tips & Tricks: How to Introduce Your Dogs to your Fosters
Let them get to know each other slowly and carefully. Have them meet on neutral territory. A short walk is a great way for them to meet. Keep them about 10’ apart at first and then gradually let them get closer. Let them sniff and get to know each other. This can either be done in the backyard or on the walk. Monitor their interactions outside before introducing the new foster inside the home....

For the year end wrap-up we like to take a step back and reflect on our changes, improvements, community impact and future journey.
More and more animals need help
It has been an especially difficult year for all of us. It has been a tough year for animal shelters, especially in rural NC. They are literally overrun with dogs and cats. Many end up being euthanized.
