Zara: A Perfect Match for Echo
Once again, Saving Grace gave us the most precious gift — a beautiful, playful, loving addition to our family.
We adopted Zara (formerly Ariel) from Saving Grace after falling in love with her photo online. She looked like a smaller, fluffier twin of our Husky mix, Echo, who we had rescued as a pup. Echo had two dachshund-mix brothers to play with, but he needed a buddy his own size — and Zara was the perfect fit.
Zara came to Saving Grace heartworm positive, but once she completed treatment, she joined our pack and fit right in. At first, she seemed more interested in her new dog siblings than us humans — but she quickly discovered the joys of belly rubs and sleeping in the big bed!
Now, she and the boys wrestle and play all day. Even Tucker, our side-eye specialist who rarely plays, chases her around the yard when he thinks we’re not watching. Zara has brought balance, energy, and a whole lot of love to our home.
