Sunny (formerly Sunkist) was pulled out of a rural shelter pregnant, heartworm positive and in need of an eye operation. After her pups were delivered and placed, she was spayed, treated for heartworm, and microchipped by Saving Grace. She also finally received her much-needed eye surgery.

We had no idea what she’d been through in her three years of life. While not in the market for another dog, we were lucky enough to medically foster Sunny and provide her with the quiet, loving home she needed during her recovery. She chose us and touched our hearts by sharing her sweet, grateful and gentle spirit. We knew we could not let her go and keeping her was the easiest, best decision we ever made.
After 7 years, she remains the most wonderful addition to our home. She’s had a perfect bill of health every year. She is my soul dog, filling my heart daily.
