Hooked on Hiking—and Helping
I was first introduced to Saving Grace through the Hiking Program. The chance to enjoy a beautiful hike with a wonderful dog got me hooked. From there, it was the welcoming volunteers and amazing pups that kept me coming back.
I was first introduced to Saving Grace through the Hiking Program. The chance to enjoy a beautiful hike with a wonderful dog got me hooked. From there, it was the welcoming volunteers and amazing pups that kept me coming back.
Now, I help get dogs ready to hike every Saturday, assist with daily care during the week, and support adopters in finding their perfect match.
One unforgettable moment was New Year’s Day 2025—20 new dogs had just arrived, and halfway through the hike, I heard the loudest, most beagle-y bark ever. That’s when I met my first Saving Grace dog.
What I love most is how Saving Grace meets people where they are—whether it’s volunteering, hiking, sleepovers, or adoption. I’m proud to be part of the incredible volunteer team that keeps this mission going strong.
