From Loss to Love: Oliver’s Journey Home

Four years ago, I lost my beloved Jack Russell, and the silence that followed was unbearable. I missed the companionship, the joy, the unconditional love. Friends kept telling me about Saving Grace, so I decided to take a chance and look for a new little buddy.
I’ve always loved small dogs, and when I arrived at Saving Grace, one pup caught my eye—a reddish-colored Chihuahua with the most soulful olive-green eyes. I knew instantly: he was the one.

Thanks to Saving Grace, Oliver was ready to come home that very day—vaccinated, cared for, and waiting for a fresh start. My son drove me out to pick him up, and I’ll never forget that car ride. He was so quiet, so unsure, scared of everything around him.
Fast forward to today, and Oliver is wide open! He’s the love of my life. He showers me with kisses—so many that sometimes I have to take a break! He’s a total sweetheart, loves everyone he meets, and has become an amazing little guard dog and loyal companion.
It took him a while to learn what toys were, but now he plays, eats with gusto, and lives life to the fullest. I’m so grateful I got to rescue him from what I imagine was a lonely concrete pad. The transformation has been nothing short of remarkable.
