Charlie: A Pandemic Pup Who Brought Light
I don’t remember the exact moment when I knew Charlie was an angel who saved us — but it didn’t take long. He was part of our forever world as soon as he entered it.
I adopted Charlie (formerly Harley) in February 2020, just before the world shut down. I had recently lost my beloved 12-year-old golden doodle, Shilo, and was navigating grief during an already difficult time. My mini golden doodle, Tucker, and I were both missing our sweet boy.
Charlie was the light we didn’t know we needed. He became our reason to get outside, breathe fresh air, and find joy in the little things. He’s gentle, cuddly, quirky — and those gigantic bat ears never fail to make us smile. He loves toys, bones, and early morning zoomies. He’s perfect.
I’ll always rescue dogs now. I don’t know what Charlie went through before Saving Grace, but I’m so grateful he was given a second chance — and that I got to be part of it. My family, my friends, and even my parents have adopted from Saving Grace. We’re Saving Grace lovers for life.
