Anna Rule – a supporter since age 9
“I met my first Saving Grace pup, Alpine (now Ruffin), when I was just 9 years old.
“I met my first Saving Grace pup, Alpine (now Ruffin), when I was just 9 years old. A neighbor was fostering a litter and let us visit. I fell in love instantly and visited him every day. When he went to be neutered, they marked his belly with a Sharpie ‘X’—he already had a family.” Ruffin grew up with Riley and Reggie, two older dogs who helped raise him. After their passing, Ruffin became the elder of a new trio, including Raptor and Plinko (formerly Cottontail), adopted in April 2025. “Plinko is now training to be a psychiatric service dog—and she’s thriving. I waited nine years to turn 18 so I could volunteer at Saving Grace, and I’ve loved every moment.”
