Hooked on Helping: Sarah’s Saving Grace Story
“I’d heard about Saving Grace for a long time, and when I finally went through orientation, I was hooked. I felt needed—and the dogs needed me.”

Sarah began volunteering during the COVID pandemic and quickly found her place among the dogs and fellow volunteers. From day one, she felt welcomed and discovered joy in working together to care for the dogs.
She especially cherishes the bonds formed with dogs who stay a little longer and the joy of seeing them adopted. “It’s absolutely amazing when I hear how they’re doing in their new life. So rewarding!”
Sarah is proud to have played a role in saving over 10,000 dogs—and finds deep fulfillment in the work.
