From Weekend Guest to Forever Family: York’s Story
Just a week ago, we welcomed York into our home for what we thought would be a simple “weekend sleepover.” The plan was to give him a little break from the rescue—a few cozy days before he returned to the farm. But York had other plans.

From the moment he walked through the door, he fit right in. He bonded instantly with our 5-year-old lab, Lyla, and before long, it was clear: this wasn’t just a visit. York had found his family.
In just a short time, York has brought so much joy to our lives. He’s gentle, sweet, and a beautiful reminder that rescue is about opening your heart and letting love in. Watching Lyla and York play together has been such a gift, and seeing him settle into our home feels like fate.
York may have needed us, but we already know we needed him too.
We’re so thankful to Saving Grace for trusting us with this incredible boy. York is officially part of our family, and we can’t wait for all the adventures ahead.
