What were we up to this week?
Another busy week at the funny farm.
- Over 50 dogs and puppies were rescued from a cruelty case (thanks to our partners at Surry County Animal Control
- 94 dogs and puppies were transported to spay/neuter clinics
- 20 dogs started heartworm treatment
- Our more than once a week run to rescue dogs from rural shelters
- 83 dogs were adopted out to loving families
- And our wonderful Saving Grace supporters continue to help us raise funds to Save Saving Grace.

Cruelty Case Rescues
Many of these were pregnant mamas (8 litters were born!), nursing mamas, and small breed dogs.
These dogs will require medical treatment, fostering, and lots of volunteer time before they are ready for adoption.
Shelter Rescues and Fosters
- Multiple runs to rural shelters and transporting dogs to Saving Grace
- Twice daily care, feeding and playtime of our dogs on the farm
- Coordinating with our generous foster families for pickup of mamas and their puppies
- Matchmaking by our adoption team to adopt out 83 dogs and puppies
Many thanks to our fantastic volunteers and foster families who keep our daily activities on schedule.
Medical needs
- Burberry, a sweet girl, arrived with this tumor.  She’ll require costly surgery to remove it.
- In addition, over 20 dogs started heartworm treatment.
