Colby

  • Breed: Italian Greyhound
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 2 yrs.
  • Weight: 15 lbs.
  • Housetrained: Yes
  • Adoption fee: $300

Hi! My name is Colby and I may just be the love you have been looking for to complete your life and home! I would describe my looks as slender and athletic. I weigh about 15 lbs. full grown and about 2 years old. My large sexy ears will allow me to hear your every wish and my soft coat makes me irresistible to cuddle with.

I am an Italian Greyhound mix, just like an IG with buggier eyes. I have great, long legs that make me a wonderful walking partner. I would describe myself as loyal, mystical and expressionistic. Three things I cannot live without is a snuggly bed (I prefer the ones with the big fluffy sides), treats and car rides. My friends consider me on the shy side and I rather have a small, close group of friends than know a lot of people but not know them well.

My hobbies include lobbying for tougher puppy mill and humane laws - yes, I will claim my animal rights passion! I am looking for a companion who will embrace me just the way I am and I plan to be open minded and adjust to our new schedule with ease. I hope to generate some interest through Mutt Harmony very soon as I am passionate about finding a wonderful family! People who think I may be a good match should know I am usually quiet unless there is a new person coming into our home and I will be an alarm barker. I love reading and movies and am a bit of the philosophical type. I enjoy travel but not to busy places. I will always choose a cozy evening at home over city nightlife. I enjoy cafes and picnics far more than fairs or concerts. I am a loyal guy and will be sure to stick close with you for all the days of our lives and would be happy as the only dog or with another dog. I am very trustworthy when left alone indoors and I am housebroken. I love doing office work and make a great assistant. If you give me a bed to patiently wait in, I will lie quietly until you are finished working. I do love a lap but am happy in my own bed as well if that is better for you while you work. If you are interested in scheduling a date with me, please email Saving Grace and submit an application. I am available for a lifetime of love for an adoption fee of $300 that includes my neuter, vaccines, microchip, deworming, Frontline for fleas and ticks, heartworm test and prevention.

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to SavingGrace@nc.rr.com. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee.
