Bridget

  • Breed: Labrador-Retriever
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Medium

Bridget is a 1-1.5 year old chocolate Lab mix girl. Her beginning in life was a bit rough and when she joined us at Saving Grace she had a severe eye injury. We have since removed her eye and she is now pain free and happy. She has been living in a foster home for several weeks to heal and figure out life indoors with nice people. This is all new to her so her forever family will need to continue to be patient and go slow with everyday things. Bridget is interested but cautious with new situations. She is living with other dogs and does enjoy their companionship. Another adult dog to help show her the ropes would be a huge plus to build her confidence and reassure her. She does enjoy playing with other dogs and loves a good game of chase. She is always up for a belly rub, snuggles and being petting by her people. She is good with older children. She is house broken and uses her crate without issue when she needs to be in it. She is also food motivated so teaching her new tricks and commands should be easy. Bridget is a beautiful girl who with time and continued patience will blossom into a confident dog. She is already a pretty fantastic dog and can only get better with time. Her forever family will need to be patient, kind and loving. Bridget is ready for her own family now and to be home for the holidays. All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from our website savinggracenc.org or the Petfinder Homepage. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
