Avery

  • Breed: Shepherd
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Medium

While we realize that blond bombshell usually refers to the female persuasion, we are also certain that our 10 months to year old Avery is secure enough in his boyhood that he will permit the use of this descriptor! Avery is simply a stunning young Shepard mix who sports the blond with black highlights that might be seen in an Anatolian Shepard though he is much smaller and does not fit the bill of that breed. He has a fluffy coat that is already drop dead gorgeous but will only improve with time and care. Avery is about 45 lbs now and will likely add a few more as he moves into adulthood. This young guy has made us chuckle and smile over the last few days since his arrival. Day one, we were pulling him out of the crate to go outside as he was fearful and unsure but by the end of that day was circling, barking and wagging with desire to play with us. By day 4 or 5, he is running out of the crate, approaching with a full body wag and making friends and fans in all he meets. He has decidedly left his shell behind and has bust out of it and is ready to rock and roll with his forever family. Avery has been simply lovely in a crate and patient for his meals and time outside to play. He rides well in a car and looks like he stepped out of a Foster and Smith catalog and could wow at a fashion show as well as throw down in a game of wrestling in the leaves and dirt. Avery, like most shepards, is waiting for a family to whom he can be committed, faithful and loyal throughout his life and who will provide him with the love, exercise and stability that he has been wishing for this holiday season. Sound like what you have been waiting for? All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee. The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
