Lewis

  • Breed: Shepherd
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Medium

Vidal Sassoon, move on down 10 seats because Lewis is in the house and he don't need none of your products to be jaw dropping handsome! Lewis is a Shepherd, maybe Collie mix who is about 4-5 years old and weight in at about 50 lbs minus his hair. And can we please talk about Lewis' hair for the next year?? He sports an amazing black coat with the browns associated with his Shepard lineage and while we have a hard time picturing it, his coat is only going to get better and better with time and care. Lewis is all about his peoples and has no need to a canine companion but if he had one, would do better with a female who would be okay with him being the man in charge. Lewis is a little bit older than some of the tweens at the farm, but still young with many years ahead to spend with his family. With a few extra years tacked on comes great bathroom skills and a lack of interest in creating havoc and chewing the couch while you are out to dinner. Lewis is far too refined for that! Lewis would be a wonderful walking companion who can keep up with a nice pace and will never pull on his leash or drag you down the street. That is right, he is too refined for that! Lewis is not really interested in jogging or agility but has a really lovely energy level that would accommodate those who prefer enjoying the stroll as opposed to rushing through it. As a refined gentleman, Lewis would prefer a household that is somewhat more quiet and peaceful and would probably do best with slightly older children and hooting and howling and toy trains are not really up his alley. Lewis might turn out to be more handsome that your significant other, we cannot promise otherwise but he will love you AND your significant other like you are the best thing since sliced bacon! All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from our website savinggracenc.org or the Petfinder Homepage. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
