Kay

  • Breed: Labrador-Retriever / Boxer
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Medium

So our girl Kay has a story to tell. It does not start out very happy and the ending is still in the works, but we are completely certain it will be the fairy tale kind and you might be the one who helps her complete it. Kay is a mini version of a possible lab and boxer mix who is about 6 years old and maybe 35 lbs full grown. She may look sort of average to some with a mostly black coat and some white on her chest, but to us, she is stunning and has the kind of beauty that is rooted in a loving and forgiving soul that only sees good in the world. Kay likely lived most of her life to date on a chain and as a result has very few working teeth due to chewing on the metal. We are so happy to be part of the journey that has brought this girl off of the chain and into the arms of loving volunteers at the farm. Kay could think all kinds of things about us two legged beings but her thoughts are NOTHING but positive! She has being having so much fun at the farm, enjoying life as a dog who can run around and play and sniff and live free! Kay is lovely in a crate and is patient for play and meal times. She has done well with all of the other dogs since her arrival. She is eager to be loved and touched and snuggled and holds not a single grudge about where she came from. Kay would honestly appreciate anything you and your family offer her. She has no expectations as she has never been loved and cared for until arriving at the farm so she is most humble and will be grateful for and to you forever. Her loyalty will be unmatched and commitment to you equally strong. So, if you have ever wanted to be part of a fairy tale ending, this is a pretty amazing chance to make that happen. All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee. The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
