Ruger

  • Breed: Hound / Labrador-Retriever
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Medium

Ruger is a sweet hound/lab mix boy about 1-1.5 years old who will greet you with a wagging tail. He is fully grown, but needs to fill out as he matures. This boy loves other dogs and lived with both males and females of all sizes and ages in his foster home. He loves stuffed animal dog toys and will carry them anywhere he goes. He is gentle when taking a treat and asking for some chin rubs and ear scratches. He is house broken and will ask to go out. Please be mindful he may take a few days to learn a new house and routine to signal he needs to go out. He uses his crate without issue at bedtime, mealtime or when taking an afternoon nap. He was often found sleeping in his crate with the door open and snuggled with all of his babies. He had FHO surgery on his left rear hip and is still in need of some time for it to heal 100% and get back to using it as a fourth leg. Donā??t worry he gets around just fine on the 3 good legs for now. He could be found running around the fenced yard with the other dogs and snooping at all the smells on any given day. Ruger is gentle enough he would be fine with kids and would love the attention from them. This young boy will be a great addition to just about any home. He is a happy boy and does enjoy the companionship of other dogs and his people. Please donā??t worry about the hip it will heal. Heā??s awesome and deserves a loving family of his very own. All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from our website savinggracenc.org or the Petfinder Homepage. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
