Maggie

  • Breed: Hound
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Medium

We don't know the backstory on sweet Maggie but we can tell you a whole lot about when her Saving Grace story began. This tender-hearted girl came to us very, very pregnant but emaciated all at the same time. She gave birth to 12, yes 12, beautiful puppies and cared for them tirelessly. She was devoted to their every need and because of her selfless attention the entire litter is thriving. While we don't think this was her first rodeo, we promised her it would be her last. With her puppies weaned she is ready to start the next chapter with a loving, nurturing family. We're fairly confident she has never lived in a house so everything is new and this makes her a little skittish and shy. This lovely Walker Hound needs a kind and patient hand to help her build her self-confidence. What we do know is she loves to PLAY-run, fetch, you name it, she loves it. She'd probably do best in a quiet environment with a person, couple or family with older children. After raising 12 of her own she is ready to put the chaos of young ones behind her and we can't blame her! So if you're looking for a really fabulous girl, who is ready to truly be part of a family, please make an appointment today to meet Maggie. All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heart worm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee. The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
