Lilac

  • Breed: Catahoula-Leopard-Dog / Labrador-Retriever
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Baby
  • Size: Large

Lilac is a total joy, a well rounded little puppy who is everything a puppy should be. She loves to play and explore, then settle down for a good nap with her people. Lilac and her sister Lavender have emerged to have a great passion for soccer, enjoying running in the yard with their foster family's 7 year old daughter, chasing the soccer ball as she kicks it around. Everything Lilac does brings a smile to people's faces, and she is ready to do that now with a family of her very own. Lilac and her brothers and sisters are a lucky little bunch of puppies. They were so enthusiastic about joining the world and becoming a part of the Saving Grace program that they literally couldn't wait to be born.... their sweet mom Coco started giving birth to them in the van on the way to the shelter! The whole family was scooped right up a few hours later by their SG foster family and they've spent every day of their young lives surrounded by love. Their mom Coco has done a fantastic job of raising, nursing, and weaning them as well as teaching them the beginnings of puppy manners. Their foster family, which includes elementary school aged kids, has snuggled and loved them every day and made sure they've met lots of great people of all ages so that they love everyone they meet. They are well socialized and ready to join any family. They sleep quietly together in their crate every night and have already learned to potty as soon as they get outside. We expect that their feet will barely touch the ground at Saving Grace before they are each scooped up by a family of their own, so don't delay if you think lovely Lilac might be the girl for you! She is 10 weeks old and will be medium to large when grown. All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to savinggrace@savinggracenc.org. An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee. The Adoption Application and Adoption Contract can be downloaded from the Petfinder Homepage or our new website at www.savinggracenc.org or by clicking on the links below: Click here to download an adoption request today. Click here to download an adoption contract. Click to see our events! Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
