Update from her weekend foster: Esme is great in the car, just sat there and didn‚??t even make a sound the entire ride. We joked that she had a love/hate relationship with our male beagle. She wouldn‚??t go on a long walk without our beagle with us and other times she wanted nothing to do with him. As she‚??s on the overweight size for a beagle she just liked to relax after a walk, I can‚??t blame her J She‚??s great with kids, I‚??m sure she enjoyed learning about Pokemon and watching a little Netflix with our son. She didn‚??t howl at all, the only time she barked was when we caged her at bed time and it‚??s wasn‚??t a loud bark but we decided to let her sleep in the doggie bed instead. She stayed in the bed all night till 6am when I felt her put her paw on the bed. Figured it was her way of telling me I need to go out. She wasn‚??t food aggressive and didn‚??t even bother us when we at. Esme would make a great family dog. Esme is a sweet girl, a little round which makes her extra loveable and cozy. She would love to have a home with another dog, she is easy going and very much loves the companionship of other animals. Esme is good in her crate, she enjoys spending time outdoors and watching the birds and sniffing good smells. She came to the Saving Grace program from a rural shelter where she was surrendered with a few other beagles because she rather be with people than hunt. We can‚??t blame Esme for being a social girl who rather snooze with her family than chase through the woods which she thinks is crazy, especially on these hot days. If interested in meeting Esme, please email an application to Saving Grace. She is available for an adoption fee of $350 that includes her spay, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and prevention. While she is not an athlete, she does very much enjoy long walks. Esme is about 2 years old and weighs about 20lbs. All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their shots, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please e-mail a completed Adoption Application to An Application is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a foster home and potential adoptee.
