We adopted Harry Potter from Saving Grace in October 2009. I kept meaning to e-mail and tell you how wonderful an addition to our family he is! We can\\'t imagine life without him now- we are all totally in love with him (and he with us!).
He\\'s a fantastic traveller - you say \\"road trip!\\" and he hops right in the car, stands on the back seat and plants his front paws on the console between the front seats, and looks alertly out the windshield, like the figurehead on a ship, as if to say \\"OK, let\\'s go!\\" When we go visit Gramma, he gets all excited as soon as we enter her neighborhood (must be amazing to have a dog nose...)
We did a doggie DNA test on him last spring after about the 200th person asked if he was a Jack Russell. Nope - half beagle, half chihuahua!
Anyway, he is just a love, and we are so happy we adopted him. Thank you so much for the great work you do!
Coco (formerly Pocus) has adjusted very well! She is completely a member of our family. She is now sleeping through the night out of her kennel without any accidents. Her personality has really come out. She loves taking walks and loves playing with all of her toys. She had her wellness visit the week of Christmas and she is doing great. She has added weight and is at a great weight for her age. Alexandria and Coco have really bonded - Mom and Dad too! Thanks for the follow-up.

Bubbles is doing great!! She is a wonderful dog, and so sweet. She has perked up a lot since we got her from you but still incredibly gentle (not timid, just gentle and polite) with new guests which is great since we are always hosting people. The kids are thrilled that she has learned to play fetch and I am thrilled that she is ALMOST house trained. She really is a delight!
Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year!
Steeler (formerly Quickie) is doing great! (We renamed him - my husband and son are big Pittsburgh Steeler fans.) We love him, he is a super sweet puppy and he and our black lab, Hope, were immediate friends. They play together all of the time. Our cat, Emma, has even accepted him though it took a little time.
Hope things are going well for Saving Grace. I have been making a lot of referrals!
About a year ago we adopted Flower (formerly Reese). She has been an absolute gift! At the time I was going through a divorce and she has been just what my daughter and I needed. I have never had a dog and was nervous about the responsibility and burden, but Flower is only love. She and my daughter have snuggle and kissing sessions that have us all laughing out loud! She is a great play mate for my daughter. Our favorite thing to do is snuggle in bed. My daughter named her Flower. Her full name is Flower Sunshine Grassy Carrot. Flower is very funny and provides lots of entertainment. It brings me so much joy and love to see my daughter love Flower and the way she talks to her. However, sometimes they fight about who gets to be “in the middle” when we snuggle in bed. Flower is the best girl EVER!!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing her into our life. I can not imagine what life would be without her!!!
Hey, Molly, Karen and all,
Thank you for the email. Hurley (formerly known as Banks) is doing well and has adjusted to life with us. He is such a social puppy and loves to go on hikes, meet people at outdoor events and lounge around the house. Our cat is even starting to accept him. He is a very smart dog and has been a great deal of fun! He loves meeting new people and dogs.
Thank you for saving him and having him at just the right time for us. Attached is a picture of him and Lynda out at Blue Jay point in North Raleigh. Thank you again for all that you do and I hope it has been a great holiday for all of those who support Saving Grace!
Have a great 2011,
Hi, Molly -
Here is a little note from Opie. You just can't imagine what a hunka, hunka, burnin' love piece of beefcake that little fella has turned into! --Amy
I am having my new Momma and Daddy write this note to you to let you know that I am doing just swell in my new home. You were right when you whispered to me before I left for my new forever home that these people would absolutely love me to pieces! At first I thought it was because I am just such a darn cute fluffy fluff. Then I thought it was because I had dazzled them with my happy moods and good manners. Oh, by the way, thank you for potty training me. That’s come in very handy. It also crossed my mind that they just liked me because I came all neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. Then I noticed each and every day I make them laugh, smile, play, walk, snuggle, cuddle and learn something new, and I do seem to get an awful lot of hugs for no real reason. That’s when it finally dawned on me, my new Momma and Daddy love me for me. They love me to pieces just like you said they would!

Wilson is doing well. He is a very sweet dog who tries very hard to please. The kids absolutely love him, and it is very cute to see the three of them playing together in the backyard. They play chase with a ball where Wilson has the ball and the two of them try to chase him down to get it. They all have a blast, get a lot of exercise, and you can tell Wilson absolutely loves the challenge of getting away from them! He has learned how to sit, what ‘drop’ means, and ‘down.’ Overall, he has really fit into our family quite well and he is a friendly, loving dog.
Here is a picture of Tanner with three of my girls and a friend. As you can see, she is very loved! Tanner has been a blessing from the day she came home with us. She still sleeps in her crate, although now with a very cushy bed. Tanner loves to run at the art museum or Umstead park and she loves to snuggle with her family at night.
The only problem we have had is that I have no more plants on my deck! Tanner has emptied all of my flower pots.
Thank you for all that you do!
Lilly Mae (bottom) and Sadie (top and smiling). They play all day and are best buddies!
