Hi!  I’ll be hosting Trick or Treat at Gourmutt’s Bakery on October 30th from 11-3. Gourmutt’s is one of the favorite outings for Saving Grace dogs who will be out in their best costumes on the 30th! Please bring your dog and a donation for Saving Grace. There will be treats and other dogs for your pooch to meet and greet. This is a great opportunity to bond with your dog, have a great outing together and support the dogs at Saving Grace who are waiting for homes.

Thank you to all my fans that came out to Gourmutt’s this past Saturday to bring donations for my friends at Saving Grace! We got some great donations, dog food, cleaning supplies, treats (my favorite), blankets, towels and other great stuff. I also saw some cash and checks go into the donations jar, so thank you very much everyone! The dogs will be so excited to get the care they need so they can be adopted.

A special thanks to Tina and Gormutt’s crew for making the ice cream… what a great treat! The “one per pup” rule was the only problem of the day!

Well, I must say I am flattered by all my fans who love to keep up with what is going on in my pugolishous life. As you know, I am passionate about rescue, especially Saving Grace, since I was adopted through the program and I love raising awareness for animals in need so that more will have a second chance as I have. I hope you will enjoy my articles wherever you are – on the train, at breakfast, on your lunch break or. of course, bathroom reading!

Wherever you are, just keep in mind my purpose is to help my friends and to keep you posted on their needs and what is going on. With your help, we can flush homelessness out of our world!

I have been overhearing conversations about needing supplies and donation in a big way. You can start right here by making a donation or going to the Web site and checking out the donations page.

Let me just tell y’all how much I do love to go to Gourmutt’s Bakery! They have all kinds of treats and goodies. I could hang out there all day cleaning up crumbs falling to the floor while I enjoy the smell of cookies baking in the oven. They are very generous to my friends who have been adopted from our program and we can always count on the nice people there to help raise awareness and support for dogs currently in the program.

Tina and the fabulous Gourmutt’s ladies are having a special day on August 7th to raise money for the dogs at Saving Grace. We have had a pretty tough year this year with lots of dogs coming and we really need donations to keep them going until they find a new home. Please come to Gourmutt’s on Saturday, August 7th between 10:00 and 3:00. Bring a donation for the dogs and your 4-legged friend to enjoy a free ice cream! I look forward to seeing Saving Grace alumni, sampling all sorts of good treats and enjoying a variety of smells from other dogs and the kitchen! The items we need most at this time include paper towels, pill pockets, disinfectant, large trash bags, peanut butter for Kongs, liquid laundry detergent and dish soap. Monetary donations are always our greatest need as medical care and dog food are among our largest expense at this time. We can order our food directly for discount and that way we get a fairly consistent diet as well which really helps our tummies!

Hi! My name is Trixie and I was rescued in 2006 by Saving Grace. Shortly after my rescue, I became the spokespug and model for Saving Grace and I am honored to have gained such popularity! While I am no longer young and sleek and am well past menapaws, I am well-respected for my wisdom. I am passionate about educating our community about the homeless and overpopulation in our community, and raising awareness and funding to provide these animals with a second chance in life.

I too was once abandoned in a rural animal shelter and thanks to the Saving Grace program, I was saved. I saw many animals there who didn’t get a chance to leave simply because there were so many and so few resources. I was severely obese, my nails had grown into the pads on my feet, my wrinkles, eyes and ears were infected and I was infested with parasites. I am proud to say I have worked my way out of those pits and into a very loving home where I have been able to pursue my passion as an advocate for shelter animals in North Carolina. With our help, animals who have been discarded as trash will have the chance to be adopted and live a life as a family treasure.
